The ends started out just as wig ends should, non frayed and nice. The brush I used for the experiment was a 6 row non-plastic tipped 'wig brush'. The comb I used was a plastic detangling comb.

Each side got brushed or combed strokes. You can keep them looking great by gently sectioning the hair into manageable areas and working through them one by one with a comb.

When each section is finished, clip it up and out of the way before proceeding to the next. Nothing is more fun than layered, flippy styles, and the care is as easy as can be. Follow the basics, and after combing each section, cup the curve of the flip in your palm and allow it to rest for a few moments to encourage retention of the shape.

Use the detangling spray sparingly, as too much moisture may weigh down the strands and pull them out of their natural bounce. Curly wigs demand a few more accommodations, but their playful attitude more than makes up for it. Ditch the comb and rely on your fingers to carefully work through the strands.

If you have ringlets, take a few seconds to wind them in the proper direction on your finger, allowing them to rest and remember their shape.
