Which wukong skin is better

Welcome to the Wukong skins library page! On this page we have organised every single Wukong skin by newest to oldest for your viewing pleasure. Currently there are 6 Wukong skins available in game with the latest Wukong skin being Lancer Stratus Wukong. The oldest Wukong skin is Volcanic Wukong. To find out more information about a specific Wukong skin, simply click the skin below for a detailed overview including in game pictures, related skins and available accounts. Our skin pages are full of information including the history of the skin, how you can obtain it, and any interesting facts or trivia behind the skin.

It features one of the best splash arts with Wukong looking like a blood-thirsty warrior preparing to stare down an entire army — but it just flops in-game. In the splash art we can see fire coming out of his shoulder piece and from the tip of his staff.

Plus his hair is yellow and his gear is threatening. It costs only slightly more than General Wukong, but it delivers so much more when it comes to presentation. The in-game model matches the splash art pretty well, with that glowing green aura being present in his ability animations — most notably his ult — and that sick armor set looking just as sweet on the Rift. The skin does offer some pretty neat animations, with the backing animation and the hoverboard homeguard animation stealing the show.

As the name would suggest, fire is the name of the game when it comes to this skin — with flames bursting out of your head and both of your arms. The rest of the body is also heavily scarred and very much charred, which is some nice visual story-telling.

The former is more stunning while the latter is more consistent; still both have a few flaws. A skin with a unique design that seems quite interesting at first glance is Radiant Wukong. Underworld Wukong is quite a letdown at its price. There are some good touches but on the whole it fails to justify the high expense.

Unfortunately, it fails to represent its concept in an appealing way and its few saving graces feel like too little for too much. Lancer Stratus Wukong is a skin with a great concept and a disappointing execution.

The adaptation is so shallow that instead of finding a titanic mecha or even a more normal robot that does feel synthetic. The hints of hi-tech are few and they can do nothing about the overwhelming classic personality; the magic is barely there. First and foremost, you should buy the skin that you like the most.

Additionally, Bruce Lee fans may be biased towards the latter. I do agree with all of the ideas you have introduced to your post. They are really convincing and will definitely work.

Still, the posts are too brief for beginners. Could you please extend them a little from subsequent time? Thanks for the post. We try to balance the complexity of the skin with the length of the review. That way, ultimate and legendary skins tend to have long reviews though that also applies to skins from lower prices with multiple changes.

Besides, we try to highlight the most important aspects of a skin so that people can get useful and concrete advice. Volcanic Wukong has an appealing display of flames but in terms of particles it offers nothing else.

In the case of Jade Dragon Wukong you get some minor flames but some nice particles; particularly on Cyclone. In addition to this, their themes are very different: one is strictly about fire while the other reflects an Asian warrior. Another thing to consider is that Volcanic practically always makes quite a display thanks to the permanent flames. However, Jade Dragon is more modest until Crushing Blow and, especially, Cyclone is used; which is where it makes for quite a show.

Both are nice skins but you may find that a specific theme or implementation suits your tastes better than the other. If you are patient you can always get them both while on sale but as far as quality and value goes they are both really good. It seems like your personal preference should be the deciding factor. It does look similar though demons tend to look alike as they have a very clear aesthetic. Regardless, it could very well be a reference to the Diablo series.

We all really appreciate the time and effort you put into this. I remember buying general wu on sale with the starting rp. Imo its a better skin than volcanic but worse than jade dragon. I just feeling sry for those who bought his old ones, include my brother he was depressed for a week till i told him that i will buy that for u!!! Quick first thoughts on underworld wukong? After all, if we take the processed voice-over out we are left with a skin that perfectly fits at RP.

I bought it at reduced price RP. Underworld Wukong fits perfectly in the bracket. I have to completerly disagree on the underworld wu review. Id actually rate it as a 4 star skin, i find it very great. The model and sounds just seem perfect to me.

Consider that it is, ultimately, just our point of view. We think that at RP a skin needs to be more than a RP skin with a processed voice-over. However, we can agree to disagree and personal preference should be the deciding factor on whether one should purchase a skin. The main problem is that if we take out the processed voice-over the skin has the level of RP. It has some nice touches but most of the particles are simply altered to display Wukong in his new look and add nothing remarkable; sans the trail on his Crushing Blow and recall.

At RP the skin would be easier to accept but it would remain a letdown. That would mean that the skin, processed voice-over and all, was acceptable at that price yet still unable to impress. Its issues are too basic to ignore or compensate with some extras. You give a big importante to fire particles, specially to volcanic Wukong.

What do you think about this? We agree that it has potential but we find the skin to be rather simplistic. The idea is good and the model work attractive.

Are you going to update the Jade Dragon in-game model? The current picture you are using looks very outdated. We do hope to be able to improve everything at some point but we have to be realistic. Should I buy the skin or stick with the default Wukong skin? They are much more interesting with their new particles and cost just as much.

Lost the funny, cocky monkey. Agreed, a processed voice-over can add character to a skin provided that the actual lines make sense. However, if a character is joking while sounding like a tomb then something is amiss. Should I get radiant or jade dragon. In our view Jade Dragon Wukong is a more accomplished skin. Radiant Wukong offers more but each change is simpler and so the skin ends up not being as satisfying. That way you can see what you really get in-game. Seems to fit a lot better.

General Wukong is probably too cheap for it and perhaps not magical enough for the added echo. We are updating splash arts but there are a lot and new content always takes precedence. Is Underworld Wukong available right now? I thought it was Halloween exclusive but the little lock opened up when i moused over it. Underworld Wukong is, indeed, a Halloween legacy skin. Do you know when the underworld wukong skins will be available for purchase. You said it was legacy, but I am not quite sure when it will be available.
